Current News (updated 1 June 09)

The Wood family is spread all over the countryside at the moment. My daughter Casey was selected for the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, which is based in Albury, NSW. It's right on the border of Victoria, so she and I moved to Wodonga in January this year. She has settled in really well and is loving training every day at the Fruities.

Cam is still in Margaret River and will be moving to Melbourne soon for work. It means we'll only see each other on weekends, but that seems luxurious compared to not being together at all for the last 4 months.

Tom, having finished highschool last year, has moved out and is living the independent life in Margaret River. It's a significant parenting moment, farewelling your child into the big wide world and trying not to fret about the fact that he hasn't eaten a proper meal since.

We are getting very excited about the 2010 WA Circus Festival, which will be held in Karridale on January 23 - 25. Check out Fatso's website for more details, including a cool video and a countdown.

A bunch of us go out exploring most weekends. Here we are at the top of yet another Wodonga hill, enjoying stupendous views across multiple valleys.

Summer means swimming in the mighty Murray River, which is fabulously exciting. It's swift flowing, so you get in one place and get swept downstream. You have to pick your exit point and start swimming towards it well before you're upon it. Then you get out and do it all over again! It's so much fun.

grateful beyond measure for 10 years of living in Margaret River, Western Australia, and now for our new home of Wodonga, Victoria, where the countryside is just glorious; for peace, fresh air, quality water, good food, a really, really nice home, a loving family, good health.
